Down the rabbit hole...

Here’s to what I hope is the beginning of a wonderful project!
I’m going to begin blogging about massage and wellness related topics which I think may interest you, my clients.  I will base the topics on new information I’ve come across, questions I am frequently asked, conversations I’ve heard, or anything else that I think may be useful to you, or which may help you to understand different massage modalities or benefits (or limitations) of massage.
Some examples of topics I have in mind…

”How massage is and isn’t accepted in American healthcare,”
“Self care for runners, crossfitters, cyclists, yogis, office workers, mommies…”
“What the heck is kinesio tape and how can it benefit you?”
“Some common causes, and daily prevention of neck and shoulder pain,”
“Ways to get the most beneficial massage for your buck,”
“what are fascia and myofascial release?  Are you actually doing anything when you’re doing myofascial release on me?”
…and plenty more ideas have come and go, I just haven’t written them all down, and can’t recall them all by heart right now.

I genuinely think I’d be doing you a disservice if I limit the topics to strictly massage stuff…I think I’m beginning to understand my clients well enough to know that you’re far from one-dimensional! J I think that it would be more interesting for everyone (including me)if I allow for expanding the discussions beyond massage and bodywork, and into other realms of wellness, fitness and general life.  Don’t you?  But I promise to try to keep it relevant to the trends of interest I see in my clients.

I’m sure this will take me a while to figure out…both the technical aspects of maintaining a blog and the “art” of blogging as a “writer.”  So, I’ll start out with bi-weekly entries, and hopefully work up to weekly entries before too long, but I don’t intend to make it any more often than that.
Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like to me to research and post an entry about.  That’s another way I can be of service to you and will help me learn and enhance my work.
